I wanted to send a thank you to my alpine skiing friends who I 'left behind' at Lake Louise. After 5 years as Chief of Race at the Lake Louise World Cup, I had to step down when we moved to Argentina.
When I was able to go back for a quick visit at this year's races, I was presented with this beautiful belt buckle at the Volunteer Party. The races are in very capable hands (or paws). The Sled Dogs - who are a great bunch of volunteers (and friends of mine) continue to do an amazing job every year. Craig has done a great job of sharing the Sled Dog story: http://thesleddogblog.blogspot.com/ Check it out.
My new buckle sits ready to wear down here in Trin. In Argentina, I hosted Stampede breakfasts with our staff and did pull out my western gear for the events. I may just have to repeat it here next July just so I can show off my new buckle.
Hell, why wait - I may have to see how it looks with shorts! O ya, it was 34 degrees again today.
Thanks again!
B.
